I’ve never seen a post about social anxiety which includes the bit about being REALLY outgoing in order to mask imperfections, which is EXACTLY what I do. This is a really great overview of the different anxieties and phobias.

I suffer from three of these, and it makes me so angry when people just kind of throw them around and BOAST about having them (ahem, why would you be proud of being a hot mess?) for attention. They’re definitely not fun things to live with and I’m tired of people using them like they are to feel special.
